Choosing a Christmas and Halloween product supplier

Plan an assortment of artificial Christmas trees, baubles, seasonal mugs and Halloween decorations around shelf dates, packing and sample approvals.

Work back from the shelf date

Give the Christmas or Halloween supplier a store delivery date, target destination and unpacking allowance. Request separate dates for samples, artwork approval, packing approval and production. Keep the agreed latest dispatch date visible on the order. A seasonal mug that arrives after a promotion has a different commercial risk from an evergreen replacement mug.

Artificial trees and Christmas baubles

When comparing Christmas tree suppliers, specify assembled height, maximum diameter, stand footprint, branch construction and the storage carton. Ask for the sample photographed both packed and assembled. For Christmas baubles, quote diameter, material, finish, cap and hanging loop. Count ornaments by colour per pack and confirm whether the display window protects the finish during shipping.

Halloween assortments and seasonal ceramics

For hanging ghosts, pumpkin ornaments or tabletop figures, record how pieces stand or hang and which surfaces are painted. For illuminated decorations, specify the power supply and destination. Separate seasonal ceramic mugs intended for drinks from purely decorative items, and match supporting documents to the material and printed finish. Retain a packing diagram so a repeat assortment contains the same colour mix.
