Buyer reference
Sourcing homeware from China
How to compare a homeware supplier and a factory in China, prepare a product brief and check samples before placing a wholesale order.
Compare the seller, the factory and the quote
When shortlisting a Chinese homeware supplier, identify who will sign the sales contract and which factory will produce the selected SKU. Ask who approves samples, who arranges inspection and who handles a claim after delivery. WANPORTS is the export supplier. The production site and the responsibilities for your order are confirmed in the quotation and sales contract.
Give each supplier the same reference sample or drawing, materials, order quantity, pack count, destination and delivery terms. Compare tooling, packing, testing and freight separately from unit price. A quote for 1,000 loose mugs cannot be compared directly with a quote for 500 gift-boxed pairs.
