Quote the assembly a buyer will receive
A quote for a shade and a quote for a finished table lamp can look similar until the components are listed. Specify the body, base, shade, lamp holder or module, driver, cable, switch and plug. Name the sale market, supply voltage and intended installation. Ask which assembly and inspection steps the proposed lighting factory will perform, and which components come from specialist suppliers.
Distinguish the light source
For a replaceable bulb, give the lamp base, maximum rating and available clearance. For an integrated LED assembly, specify target light output, colour temperature, dimming method and whether the driver can be replaced. If the design calls for OLED panels, ask for panel dimensions, driver compatibility, sample availability and a working prototype before budgeting for production. LED and OLED proposals need separate feasibility checks.
Inspect the assembled sample and its carton
Set a table lamp on a level surface, check the switch position and photograph the lit sample against an agreed background. For a pendant, review the suspension, canopy and installation instructions. Identify the finished model on supporting documents. Component paperwork alone does not identify the finished lamp. Confirm how the shade and base are separated for shipping and assembly on arrival.
